Flagstone Water Play Park Opening

Flagstone Water Play Park Opening

A free family fun day will be held on Saturday December 21 at Flagstone’s newest Water Play Park at Flagstone Regional Rec Park in Flagstone.

The event will include the world-famous Dead Puppet Society and their interactive mechanical pelicans, used in the making of Storm Boy, as well as performances and all-ages workshops by the renowned Flipside Circus and a trapeze. The party atmosphere will be supported with a DJ playing only beach and summer vibes, giveaways including 100 Ugly Xmas Rashies, beach balls, caps, beach mats and paddle tennis sets; and special guest Aussie Santa to add the beachy festive spirit.

The Water Play Park is the latest community facility in the $12 million Flagstone Regional Rec Park, joining existing high-end facilities including a competition-standard urban skate plaza, one of Queensland’s first water play facilities for dogs, and one of its biggest adventure playgrounds featuring an 11-metre tower. This innovative water playground features a climbable treehouse water feature, tree-shaped waterfalls, and a ‘zero depth’ water course with jets, blasters, and bubblers to keep the community cool this summer.
