Over five days, Brisbane Powerhouse home of contemporary performance and arts will be transformed into a sacred space for Festival of Tibet. Hands-on workshops, concerts, exhibitions, panel discussions and theatre will showcase the beauty and wisdom of Tibetan traditions founded on the principles of compassion and non-violence, while addressing issues that continue to threaten the future of Tibet. Special guests include His Eminence the 7th Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche and Dr Vandana Shiva, a world-renowned scholar and environmental advocate who has dedicated her career to investigating the most significant ecological and social issues of our time.
