Festival of the Stone
The crew from Stone & Wood are collecting the people and materials for their Winter seasonal Stone Beer on its Festival Of The Stone Tour and along the way they aim to restore the beaches, parklands and waterways to the condition they were in when things were slower and more simple. The Clean Coast Collective will be coordinating the clean ups in towns across Australia, bringing in locals, community groups and those young and old who are keen to lend a hand.
To say thanks to those who help, Stone & Wood will host a Clean Up After Party where all profits from the beer sales will go to back to CCC. Their ex-army 1980 Landrover come beer truck will be stocked up and pouring cold, fresh beer. There will be pumping live music and epic locally sourced food for everyone to enjoy and celebrate, ‘the way it should be.’ The journey will be stopping in Brisbane, Noosa and Gold Coast as they source supplies and artists for the Festival of Stone on 14 May. Brisbane locals can join the clean up at the Gardens Point Mangroves on Saturday April 16 from 3:00–5 pm, with the after party kicking off at 5:00 pm at the Queensland Maritime Museum. The Bun Mobile will be on hand to keep patrons fed, while Eden Mulholland and TH’FIKA will be providing the live entertainment.
