Wild Canary goes on the road hosting our first immersive regional food experience in the Lockyer Valley.

This event takes place in the Lockyer Valley, an amazingly fertile food region only one hour drive from Brisbane. Get a group together and come see where your food is being grown, meet the farmers and enjoy an amazing four-course lunch hosted by Wild Canary in the historic Butter Factory in Grantham. Make an entire day of it by joining us for morning tea, farm tour, lunch and mini producers market. Alternatively you may choose to just join us for lunch and mini producers market.

Farm Tour
Leading innovative fourth generation family farm 9Dorf are running a multi species enterprise with regenerative and ethical practices including pasture raised chickens and eggs. They also produce Barramundi, Murray Cod and Jade Perch in their innovative aquiculture system. A knowledgable farm guide will take you through fish feeding which can be a noisy and wet experience and get a birds eye view of our chicken production, witnessing how birds are raised in a loving way. Then on to Grantham for lunch only 10 mins away. Please note enclosed footware, sunscreen, hat and water bottle are recommended. Day commences at 9:00 am with morning tea at 9Dorf Farm followed by Farm Tour, drive to Grantham Butter Factory for four-course lunch including drinks (beer and wine) and mini producers market.

Lunch
The Butter Factory is a beautiful and historically important heritage building and is the perfect backdrop for this experience. Expect a sit down four course lunch with generous hospitality featuring farm-to-table cuisine in a rural setting. Executive Chef Glen Barratt and team will showcase the superb produce and the farmers from this incredible nutrient rich region. Guests will also hear stories from local farmers about their philosophies and practices. Day commences at 12:00 pm at Grantham Butter Factory, four-course lunch including drinks (beer and wine) and mini producers market. Limited tickets available.

Mini Producers Market
What you eat on the day, you can buy on the day. Bring a bag, esky and cash to shop direct from the farmers at our mini market.
