The Genealogical Society of Queensland is hosting a free Family History Open Day for people interesting in researching their family tree.

The Family History Open Day will feature:
. Experienced researchers to help you start, or progress, your family tree
. A tour of the rich resources held within the library’s collections
. Representatives from the special-interest groups (such as the DNA Group; English, Irish and Scottish Ancestry Group; Military History Group; and the Convict Connections Group) available to help
. Free access to online genealogy sites including Ancestry, Find My Past, Irish Roots, The Genealogist, British Newspaper Archive, and Biographical Database of Australia)
. Free membership gift for those who join, or renew, on the day
. Morning tea refreshments will be served
