After working in Paris for six years at Michelin starred restaurants and undertaking a European foraging tour visiting some of the world’s most famous flavour regions, Andrew Gunn has returned to his home city as Executive Chef of Urbane and The Euro, two of Brisbane’s most acclaimed food destinations.

Joining him as Head Chef is Amélie Rabaud, who was born and raised near Toulon in southern France on the Mediterranean coast. She has worked with Christophe Bacquie (three-star Michelin) as well as numerous restaurants in Paris including ‘Le Taillevent’ and ‘Le Grand restaurant.’ Together, they complete the culinary leadership team for The Euro and Urbane, signalling a new era for this Mary Street duo.

In collaboration with The Falls Farm on the Sunshine Coast, Executive Chef Andrew Gunn and Urbane present a five-course Vegetarian Degustation on May 29, which will delight lovers of all foods!

Urbane has always been a pioneering restaurant when it comes to vegetarian menus, having offered their complete vegetarian degustations for many years. This collaboration with Falls Farm is another step forward is showcasing the flavours and power of the plant.

The Falls Farm is in Mapleton on the Sunshine Coast. It is a family run business nestled in the hills which uses a combination of traditional farming techniques and the latest in organic soil knowledge. Through visioning workshops, planning days, consultation with landcare groups and permaculture experts, The Falls Farm has grown from a degraded 30-acre property to a blossoming market garden of everyday and obscure veggies for the curious.
