Espresso Martini Festival
Brisbane, this news will put a skip in your step and a jump in your regular heartbeat – the city’s first ever Espresso Martini Festival is on its way. Get ready to fall in love all over again with the infamous espresso martini, while you sip your way around a selection of caffeinated concoctions by the team at Brooklyn Standard, and a selection of Vietnamese street food by Fish Lane fave, Hello Please. Set to hit Brisbane on Ekka Holiday eve, this celebration of all things espresso martini is your perfect excuse to party on a school night with none of the regular repercussions (just imagine how good that dagwood dog is going to taste the next day). Tickets are going for just $35 per person (plus booking fee) and include an espresso martini on arrival to get your engine firing, plus a selection of street eats and bites from the team at Hello Please.
No matter your taste, the team at Brooklyn Standard has come up with some seriously sip-worthy espresso martinis based on cocktail specs a little left of field, from tequila to whisky, and a couple of spirited surprises in between. Whether ‘hakunama vodka’ is your alcoholic catch-cry, or a smoking hot, spiked espresso is your vice, there’ll be something for everyone at Brisbane’s very first Espresso Martini Festival. Think a tasty snack pack full of Hello Please’s all-star line up – like their signature crispy chicken ribs, pork belly bao, grilled pork meatballs, and a chicken coconut salad slaw – and approximately five different espresso martini handcrafted cocktail recipes to wash it all down.
