East meets West Orchestral Concert


Enjoy a stellar concert combining traditional and contemporary music from the East and West. Luxuriate in a sublime program, including the acclaimed Chinese classics Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto and the Yellow River Piano Concerto, alongside other enchanting works.

This concert will be held in collaboration with Queensland Symphony Orchestra and led by the revered music maestro Guy Noble. The star-studded list of artists include:

Australia’s top pianists Tony Lee, winner of the 2016 Sydney International Piano CompetitionAccomplished violinist Sun Yi, Associate Concertmaster of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Brisbane-born mezzo soprano Victoria Lambour Soprano from Opera Australia Sharon Zhai Leading Sydney-based Guzheng musician Angie Liu

The concert is an Image China cultural & arts event organised by China Arts and Entertainment Group Ltd (CAEG) in association with China Cultural Centre Sydney, presented by Ausfeng. They aim to introduce traditional and contemporary Chinese performing arts to audiences around the world. Since its inception in 2009 it has presented numerous inspirational works at venues across the globe.

A rare opportunity to experience an Australian tribute to eastern musical heritage, this will be an exceptional evening that must not be missed.
