Dosed Single Launch with The Bonnie Doons

Ever wondered what happens when you mix the spiceadelic Dosed with the crispylicious Bonnie Doons in the same venue, on the same night? A big old pot of good times and a bloody good new Reason To Smile.

DOSED are a trio from the Sunny Coast Hinterland that are known for their distinct clean and vibrant alt-rock sound. These three friends have known each other for a while now, in fact they go as far back as you can get without sharing the same last name. This is easily observed at a live performance. With a comfortable, high-energy and contagious stage presence, you are made to feel like you were also a part of the Jam Shed days. Inspired by years of listening to virtually the same 3 bands on repeat, you might pick up on these vibes throughout … Let’s just say that is they had wanted to be a cover band they would have called themselves the Red Hot Sublime Fingers. This deadly combo means that a small dose of Dosed can easily turn toe-tapping into a full blown shake-down – it’s a sound to get around.

THE BONNIE DOONS are a 5-piece band from Brisbane – comprising of musical talents from the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the USA. This energetic group of lads have been building a buzz in the Brisbane music scene since playing their first show in May 2017. They’ve quickly gained a strong following after performing at a number venues from The Sunshine Coast down to Byron Bay. Taking inspiration from such artists as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sticky Fingers, Hendrix and Oasis; they have a very uniquely Australian sound with their combination of tight funk-rock tones and reggae-like rhythm. From supporting Byron Bay’s Drop Legs for their ‘Self Help’ album tour to opening for Wolfmother in Brisbane, these boys have been promptly acknowledged for putting on a killer live show… And now they’re back to it; crunching out an EP for ya’ll to wrap your ears around in the coming months.
