Beyond Doing it Scared – Paul Pritchard National Speaking Tour

Eighteen years after a catastrophic accident which left him partially paralysed, rock and mountain climber Paul Pritchard returned to Tasmania’s Totem Pole to find out if his recovery was sufficient to finish the climb.

The resulting experience, which is documented in the award-winning movie Doing it Scared, is a highlight of this year’s Banff Mountain Film Festival and is now the subject of a national speaking tour, being organised by World Expeditions.

Audiences will be thoroughly inspired by this extraordinary man as he shares the story of his continuing recovery from the crushing injury and his never-waning desire for adventure.

Tickets are $25 with proceeds going to Paul’s upcoming Lowest to Highest Expeditiona world first expedition comprising of five people with significant disabilities riding human powered tricycles from Australia’s lowest point, Kati Thanda (Lake Eyre) to the highest point at the summit of Mount Kosciuszko (2228m).

Travel with Paul: To celebrate the speaking tour, World Expeditions has launched a special four day walk with Paul Pritchard along Tasmania’s wild coastline on his annual pilgrimage to the Totem Pole. ‘My Tasmania’ with Paul Pritchard departs Hobart on 9 November, 2017. More information is available at worldexpeditions.com or by calling 1300 720 000.
