Canadian musician Dan Bejar will bring his revered indie guitar project Destroyer to Australian shores for the first time ever this September, performing at a string of headline solo shows. Destroyer will be performing at The Courier-Mail Spiegeltent Saturday September 23 as part of Brisbane Festival.

Destroyer’s new album ken (produced by Josh Wells of Black Mountain) was recorded in its entirety in the jam space/studio space named by the band as The Balloon Factory. However, unlike Poison Season, ken was not recorded as a “band” record, though everyone in the band does make an appearance. Destroyer will play songs new and old whilst on tour this September.
