Day on the Bay

Australian music legends, including Daryl Braithwaite and Wendy Matthews, are set to rock Decker Park this October, playing on-stage to thousands of fans at the first annual Day on the Bay festival.

Organised by the Sandgate and Districts Chamber of Commerce, Day on the Bay will be held on October 7 and will host thousands of music lovers at Decker Park, Brighton (Queensland), for a Saturday of home-grown hits.

Award-winning Australian artists are gracing the line-up, including Darryl Braithwaite, Joe Camilleri (The Black Sorrows), Wendy Matthews, Eurogliders, Mark Gable (former Choirboys front man) and Sarah De Bono.

Mark Gable, will be opening the festival at 2:00 pm (gates open at 12:30 pm), and Daryl Braithwaite will be the sixth to perform at 7:00 pm before a collaborative finale closes the night at 8:00 pm.

The entire line-up will perform on-stage together for an epic grand finale to close the festival.

The calibre of talent is high – between the artists on show they have recorded multi-platinum albums, have multiple Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) awards to their name, and have been inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

Gourmet food trucks and various licensed bars will be serving attendees on the day, as food and alcohol cannot be taken into the premises.

Tickets for Day on the Bay are now on sale through the Sandgate and Districts Chamber of Commerce website.
