Nature Play at Riverbank

Nature Play at Riverbank

Paint a pet rock, break out the frisbee and let your imagination run wild as Nature Play heads to Riverbank, in Caboolture South, for the first time this weekend.

Queensland’s experts in outdoor play have teamed up with Riverbank developers Peet Limited, and local families, to host the community’s first free neighbourhood play date at the new Harvey Park and playground, on Saturday, from 2pm-5pm. (21 July 2018)

The team is on a mission to encourage children out of the house and into their environment. Besides being great fun and great for physical health, free play outside has big benefits for inquiring young minds and helps to build safe, happy and inclusive neighbourhoods.

Play leaders will be on hand with great resources and ideas to encourage children to explore their own imaginations.

In a Riverbank spin on Nature Play’s signature door hangers, children will be able to paint a pet rock to leave on their doorstep to let friends know they are ready to go out to play.
Round up the kids, pack a picnic rug and afternoon tea, and your favourite toys, balls, bikes and scooters for an afternoon of free fun for children of all ages.

There is no better place to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine than in the new Riverbank community, off Market Drive, on the Caboolture River foreshore. Riverbank is home to more than 330 families and welcoming an average of ten new families each month so come along and meet the neighbours and make new friends.

Nature Play at Riverbank is hoping to meet every fortnight. Keep an eye on the Riverbank Facebook page for more information or visit riverbankliving.com.au.
