It’s Lionel’s first time. You promise to be gentle, right?

Lionel is new at this. In fact, he’s working it out as he goes along. Under duress from his terrifying German therapist to ‘express himself’, he has inadvertently found himself in a cabaret. Lionel draws on his limited knowledge of the style and formidable Wikipedia skills to hilariously stumble his way through his hour on stage.

After covering sex, booze, boys and mythical beasts, he finds that maybe he’s not so bad at expressing himself after all.

From the mischievous mind of one of Queensland’s favourite actors, Dash Kruck (A Tribute of Sorts, Jesus Christ Superstar, [Title of Show], Spring Awakening) and with original music by Chris Perren (Nonsemble, Trollop) this is an evening of cabaret not soon forgotten.

See a stunning line-up of local cabaret legends take to the Cremorne Theatre stage as it gets an intimate makeover to celebrate QPAC’s 30th anniversary in style. For two weeks the cream of Brisbane’s cabaret artists will present a series of brand new cabaret shows featuring some familiar faces and some new stars on the rise.
