Cystic Fibrosis Diamond Jubilee Party
This year, Cystic Fibrosis Queensland will celebrate its Diamond Jubilee with a cocktail event, recognising 60 years of providing support, services and hope from 1960 to 2020.
Cystic Fibrosis is the most common, life-limiting genetic condition affecting 3,500 Australians with 1 in 25 people carrying the recessive gene. There is no cure.
In line with the organisation’s mission, ‘lives unaffected by cystic fibrosis’, the Diamond Jubilee cocktail party will aim to raise awareness and funds to meet the needs of families and individuals living with Cystic Fibrosis.
In honour of the milestone, the Dimond Jubilee Donors Club has been established, comprising 60 founding donors who have each contributed $1,000 to establish a $60,000 perpetuity account that will help secure the long-term future of the organisation.
Diamond Award winners will also be announced, recognising the efforts of the many who dedicate their time to volunteer, fundraise or advocate in support of Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.
Up to 450 guests will enjoy the stand-up cocktail function, which includes a four-hour food and drinks package, live entertainment, notable speakers, and a host of raffles and prizes up for grabs.
Tickets are available for purchase through the Cystic Fibrosis Queensland website.
