Free food! Excellent, now that we have your attention, CRE8 Festival is returning to the South Bank TAFE campus in 2019, once again transforming the space into a festive and fantastical wonderland full of food, activities, student folios, exhibitions, sounds and creations for one night only!
Enjoy art installations, street entertainment and (free) food as you soak in the sounds of cutting-edge musical talents. There will also be workshops across the campus where you can get personalised glitter henna, make-your-own kokedamas and even take part in a little glow-in-the-dark yoga. Leave your mark on the Colouring-in Mural before snapping an awkward Christmas photo in the hilarious photo booth. Get old school with the vintage arcade games before immersing yourself in a vivid virtual reality.
Feeling peckish? Tuck into some Asian-style noods, treat yo’self to some LED fairy floss or indulge in a glownut (yep, that’s a glow-in-the-dark doughnut). If all that food has you in need of a drink, you’re in luck because the crew will be slinging some tasty mocktails to quench your thirst.
The event is a free annual creative spectacular that showcases and celebrates TAFE Queensland students’ portfolios, exhibitions, sounds and creations and kicks off at 6:00 pm on Thursday November 28.
CRE8 is a perfect chance to show your support for emerging local talents – to celebrate their work across all areas of the creative arts including fashion, floristry, photography, digital design and much, much more! And if you’ve been thinking about enrolling, check out the CRE8 Your Career Hub on the night to answer any course questions.
