Costumes in Contemporary Art

Costumes in Contemporary Art

Take part in a conversation about identity and the transformative power of fashion and costumes with two contemporary artists living and working in Brisbane. The Costumes in Contemporary Art lecture comes as part of the Museum of Brisbane’s major exhibition Costumes from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Local photographic artist, advertiser and experimental costume maker Gerwyn Davies will offer his insights into the boundlessness of fashion’s transformative potential while artist Chantal Fraser will add a cultural perspective to the conversation. The session is free to attend but bookings are recommended. Find more information online.
