Clean Up Australia Day paddle

Clean Up Australia Day paddle

Do you want to clean up, fix up and conserve our environment? Join council’s environment staff from Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre as we paddle against plastic and clean up Nundah Creek.

Waste challenges can’t be solved in one day, so we want to continue the initiative and invite you to clean up the weekend after Clean Up Australia Day on Saturday 13th March 2021. Have fun out on the water, learn about our waterways, wetlands, and wildlife. Some water confidence is required. All equipment and complimentary cuppa supplied .

All ages 8 years and over. It is a safety requirement that children must be aged 8 years and over and accompanied by an adult.

Requirements: Safety requirements apply and are a condition of entry. For comfort and safety, wear a hat and sunglasses suitable for windy conditions. Wear fully enclosed shoes that can get wet and muddy, sun-smart, quick-dry clothing (no denim or jeans), sunscreen, insect repellent. Bring one litre of drinking water, small energy snack, and light raincoat that can go under your life jacket. Pack a towel, change of dry warm clothes and footwear to leave in your vehicle. We recommend wearing layers on cold days.
