As soon as you see glittering markets pop-up in the parklands or hear festive fireworks cracking throughout the night sky, you know that Christmas in South Bank has arrived. Add the gentle hum of live Christmas carols to the mix, artfully-strung Christmas lights, plus special photo-friendly visits from Santa and kids’ activities (including death-defying tutorials and performances from acrobat extraordinaires, Aerial Angels) and you have an evening out that the whole family can enjoy.

This year, Christmas at South Bank also comes with a fresh twist – South Bank’s famous outdoor Christmas cinema has a cozy new home at River Quay. Head along with your favourite picnic snacks and some cool drinks to see heart-warming Christmas classics play out on the big-screen, beside the Brisbane River.

Christmas in South Bank is on from Friday December 14 until Sunday December 23 at South Bank Parklands. All activities are free to enjoy, running from 3:00–10:00 pm daily (except the fireworks which are on at 8:00 pm on December 20–23). All ages are welcome.
