This free exhibition showcases Christine Atkins’ captivating collection of bright and colourful still life paintings in both oil and pastel. Christine has been painting professionally for the last 20 years, and while her style has been heavily influenced by the old masters, the scenes of her still-life works have been inspired by her home state of Queensland.

Her artworks depict Queensland’s unique tropical flavour of life – seen in the recurring suburban and country settings. In this intimate exhibition, you’ll find cool verandahs, overgrown gardens, monstera growing in wild abundance and more distinctly Queensland motifs painted with a bold palette of vibrant colours.

More than 50 of Christine’s new works will be on display in this exhibition and the artist herself will be at the gallery every day to chat all things art.
