Chinese New Year at Harbour Town

If you’ve been looking for a reason to venture down to the Gold Coast, this is it. From Friday February 16 to Sunday February 18, Harbour Town will ring in the Year of the Dog in spectacular style with singing, dancing and of course plenty of bargains. In true Chinese New Year tradition, lion dancers will weave their magic through the crowd spreading happiness and good cheer at 12:00 pm and again at 1:30 pm while Chinese Orchid Music Group will serenade shoppers at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.

After bagging yourself some sweet bargains, be sure to stop by the stunning four-metre tall Wishing Tree near Michael Kors to leave some wishes. Adorned with red and gold lanterns, the decorations are an auspicious symbol of abundance and happiness. To have a peek at what else is happening around the centre for Chinese New Year, pop over here. After all, the Year of the Dog symbolises luck so it could just be your lucky day.
