Be inspired and introduce your children to a whole new world of foodie fun at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre’s free, Children’s Creative Food Art Workshops held from Monday September 28 to Thursday October 1. The 30 minute workshops, hosted by celebrity chef, Dominique Rizzo include a range of sessions covering Healthy No Bake Lunch Ideas and Quick and Easy Snack Ideas, the whole family is sure to love.

The Quick and Easy Snack Ideas workshops will inspire youngsters to get creative with fruits, vegetables and raw food flavours on Tuesday September 29 and Thursday October 1 on Level 1 – Gourmet Fresh (outside Yum Cha). To top it off, these free workshops, designed for kids aged 3 to 5 years old, only share gluten and sugar free recipes.

1, 2, 3 Roll It Up – 10:30 am – 11:00 am – Join in on a wonderful workshop using all edible fresh fruits, vegetables and whole foods to create the most simple and delicious rice paper rolls as easy as 1, 2 , 3. This is an ideal workshop for any child who likes to add their own flavours to food and show their creativity. Plus, the class will finish off with a delicious fresh frozen sorbet that takes only seconds to prepare. 

Zucchini Noodles – 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm – Get creative with your children to make a couple of delicious dishes using zucchini noodles, using fresh ingredients and mediterranean and Asian flavours youngsters will create a delicious cold pasta and savoury Thai noodles. This is a fun and tasty class where your children will have the chance to pick up some great new skills to create healthy no bake lunch snacks.

Fresh No Bake Pizza – 1:30 pm – 2:00 pm – In this creative workshop, youngsters will lean to create a fresh raw pizza, no cooking no baking just fresh flavoursome ingredients. This is a great class for your children to explore different food flavours and combinations and finish off with a simple fresh fruit watermelon cup cake.
