Chef Valentino Marcattilii at Bacchus

Diners are in for a treat this September, when South Bank’s Bacchus hosts two Michelin-star chef Valentino Marcattilii from Ristorante San Domenico in Italy. The renowned chef will be joining Bacchus head chef Massimo Speroni for five special degustation experiences, featuring Valentino’s most beloved dishes from Tuesday September 18 through to Friday September 21. Ristorante San Domenico opened in northern Italy’s Imola in 1970, earning its first Michelin star in 1975 and its second in 1977 – a standard that has been consistently maintained for 41 years. The restaurant has become renowned for its simple, home-style yet meticulous dishes, including its famous Uovo-in-Raviolo – a singular ravioli with an egg inside. Massimo worked under Valentino at Ristorante San Domenico as sous chef before moving to Australia, and cooking alongside his mentor once again has been a long-time dream.

Spots at these degustations are extremely limited – to book, call Bacchus on 07 3364 0837 or email [email protected] to secure your place.
