C’est La Vie Sundays at C’est Bon
Introducing C’est La Vie Sundays – the perfect recipe for a French Sunday long lunch at C’est Bon Restaurant. This Sunday soiree promises a delightful afternoon filled with exceptional food, stunning French wine and great company, set against the backdrop of the La Terrasse, a semi-alfresco leafy space, hidden on the mezzanine level between the restaurant and Ooh La La Rooftop.
Under the expert guidance of chef Andy Ashby, guests will indulge on a three-course menu, featuring an array of mouth-watering dishes that showcase the rich and diverse flavours of French cuisine. On arrival, be welcomed with a glass of the finest French chablis, a crisp and refreshing treat to begin the day alongside snacks to start like Andy’s croque monsieur with jamon, truffle and smoked comté and veal with artichoke à la Grecque and piperade.
The main course takes centre stage where you’ll share in a whole dry-aged trout served with allium bearnaise and caviar, paired with a side dish of baby cos with pistachio crème and cured yolk.
No French dining experience would be complete without a delectable dessert. Prepare to indulge in flambé crepe Suzette, a classic French dessert that is as impressive in flavour as it is in presentation. This indulgent treat begins with a delicate crepe bathed in a luscious, caramelised sauce made with persimmon and Grand Marnier. The real magic happens when the crepe is set ablaze, releasing intoxicating aromas and creating a caramelised crust. Served alongside a scoop of velvety brown-butter ice-cream, each bite is a symphony of sweet and tangy flavours, with the perfect balance of citrus and richness.
