Cassandra and The Boy Doll
Cassandra and the Boy Doll has a strict lock-out. Once the show starts, late comers will not be allowed entry. Please consider time to find a park in your travel time to ensure you make it to the venue before 7.15pm.
Cassandra is a woman. She always has been, but her whole life people told her she was a man. She transitioned, and now it’s time to put away her ‘boy doll’; her constructed male identity.
Unfortunately, Cassandra is discovering that taking a scalpel to parts of your personhood is more difficult than expected. Boy Doll had to be her shield while she found her footing as female, but now he has a mind of his own and he’s not ready to give over his life easily.
Can they share? Will Cassandra accept him as part of her life? Say a heartfelt goodbye? Or violently kill him?
This performance adheres to a strict ‘lock out’ policy – punctuality is absolutely required.
