Camerata – Sara Macliver In Concert
Camerata welcomes Sara Macliver, one of Australia’s most treasured singers. After a dreamy entrée from Grainger, Sara’s artistry will be on display in Schumann’s intimate, A Woman’s Love and Life depicting the emotional stages of a 19th century woman’s life, attributed to the story of his own wife Clara who he had just married. Britten’s brilliant and inspired set of character pieces and ranges from the most tender to laugh-out-loud moments with virtuosity and passion that still challenge the finest chamber orchestras of today. At the concert we reveal a mystery guest, before concluding the evening with Sara in Vivaldi’s tempestuous In furore that we are sure will bring the concert to an absolutely thrilling conclusion.
