Burrandowan Picnic Races

Burrandowan Picnic Races

Burrandowan Picnic Races is unique among picnic races – located only a few hours from Brisbane and the coast, yet located a million miles from the worries of the world.

Young and old, families and young people – all gather trackside to see professional jockeys and sleek horses contest the five race program, while hats and high heels fill the catwalk for Fashions of the Field.

The day starts at 9:00 am with the Clay Target Shoot, and seasoned campers set up their sites for the weekend (there is free camping for Saturday night). The local tip is to arrive well before the first race so you can enjoy lunch at one of the many outlets, find a cool drink and have time to watch the horses parade.

Burrandowan is a day when legends are made – the horses who win the races, the friendships made, the memories enjoyed, and when the sun sets, the fun continues. Dance under the stars to the tunes of live band, Kerry Kennedy and the Double Barrel Band and around the pit fired bbq, where you cook your own steak.

Burrandowan Picnic Races offers a very unique and unmissable country experience. Visit the Burrandowan Picnic Races website for more information.
