Brisbane Open House 2024

Explore, discover and experience the curious spaces and design history of our city with Brisbane Open House on Saturday July 13 and Sunday July 14, 2024.

Brisbane Open House returns, bringing with it a wealth of architecture, engineering and history in buildings, structures, spaces and places in and around Brisbane city. The free architecture and culture festival gives you the keys to unlock your city, opening the doors to some of Brisbane’s most coveted contemporary commercial spaces, heritage gems and best-kept secrets with guided and self-guided tours to encourage visitors to explore, re-examine and engage with Brisbane’s built environment.

Throughout the weekend there will be a number of walks, talks, workshops and activities. A new addition to the 2024 program is a full day Speaker Series, which will be held at the Brisbane Powerhouse on Sunday July 14. A focal point for this year’s program is inclusion, sustainability and wellbeing – predominantly focused in inner-Brisbane in order to provide audiences with easy access to as many Open House buildings and activities as possible.

The Brisbane Open House Villages of Brisbane 2024 is New Farm. Villages of Brisbane is a localised and focused celebration of a suburb in Brisbane. Supporting the New Farm and District Historical Society in celebrating its 30th year milestone, there will be a number of open buildings and homes throughout New Farm, as well as a variety of walks.

Brisbane Open House, through its diverse program offering and collaborations with architects, venue managers, community groups, and industry partners will be providing opportunities to create connections in our beautiful city, while continuing to shine a spotlight on the rich history behind Brisbane’s doors. Brisbane Open House is part of the Open House Worldwide network, celebrating good design in 50+ cities around the world.
