In March 2014, Brisbane said g’day to the debut of Brisbane Live Music Week. This year, the event is set to ramp up the call-out and provide a concentrated focus on showcasing Brisbane’s live-music scene. As a not-for-profit community organisation, 4ZZZ was established to provide a radical alternative to mainstream news, promote a sense of engagement and activism in community life, and promote local and Australian music – and for 40 years the station has continued this support.

As part of a range of celebratory activities and events over this milestone year, Brisbane Live Music Week will host multi-stage events and trivia nights, share live performances on the airwaves and consolidate a week’s worth of local gigs into a single online portal. Partnering again with APRA/AMCOS, 4ZZZ is working with a range of promoters, venues and artists at all levels to ensure one collective shout resonates out from Brisbane’s music community.
