Brisbane Improv Festival

Get laughing at the Brisbane Improv Festival running over four nights. Holding this brand new festival is the Ron Hurley Theatre and the Seven Hills Hub where live shows and workshops showcasing the best comedic talent from Brisbane and beyond will be running during the entire event for all ticket holders to partake in.

Improvised comedy is a popular art form where everything is made up on the spot – think Whose Line Is It Anyway or Thank God You’re Here. It kickstarted the careers of many famous comedians like Tina Fey, Bill Murray, Will Ferrell, and Amy Poehler and there’s no better way to get 2021 rolling than with a festival that celebrates all things improv.

Presented by Brisbane comedy institution Big Fork Theatre, the festival’s program is jam packed with different shows each night such as improvised musicals, science fiction, true crime spoofs, and showcases bringing women, queer and multicultural performers to the fore. There’s something for everyone, all made up on the spot and all downright hilarious.

So come try something new, kick back with a show and have a laugh!
