Brisbane Bowery Bowl Party

Brisbane Bowery Bowl Party

Calling all friends, lovers and beautiful strangers – let’s get weird.

Ever felt like wearing a sequinned gimp mask whilst cutting shapes in a glitter-veiled, out-of-use BrisVegas bowls club? Or wearing fake fur spots from eyebrow to toenail? Or what about building an outfit from other people… like, strapping them to your actual body? This Halloween weekend ALL OF YOUR RADICAL (drag) DREAMS WILL COME TRUE!

On Saturday October 29, The Stitchery Collective is hosting Bowery Bowl at the iconic East Brisbane Bowls Club, in collaboration with Backbone Youth Arts (in Mowbray Park). Come as your interpretation of legendary Club Kid Leigh Bowery for an extreme fashion/costume dance party extravaganza. There will be prizes awarded for best dressed and the likelihood of impromptu fash shoots is very high – pre-dance stretches recommended. The inimitable Sullivan will be providing tunes for the night.

The Stitchery Collective is a not-for-profit fashion collective connecting Brisbane’s communities through the delightful joy of fashion. Bowery Bowl is the first in a series of fashion parties celebrating inclusivity, dressing up and the pure, unifying delight of self expression through fashion. The Stitchery hopes to share this beautiful evening with Brisbane’s diverse cultural community, so get in and around this!
