Brisbane Backyard Film Festival

Brisbane’s most unique film networking and screening event is back for 2016.

In 2015 over 300 emerging filmmakers, actors and industry professionals gathered to enjoy a night of local short films, music videos and trailers under the stars. Once again in May 2016 we are inviting you to be part of what has become a very special gathering of the Brisbane film community. Every year we strive to provide an even better experience for our guests and our filmmakers, 2016 will be no different. The quality of the films submitted along with our lovely guests are what makes it such a special event. So we encourage you to send in your best work and bring your best selves to share in an amazing night of local cinema.

We will be screening a mixture of short films, music videos, and other random tit-bits. The screening will be roughly 3 hours. Delicious dinner and snacks will be available from some of Brisbane’s best local food trucks. After the screenings we invite you to hang around for a couple of drinks and some casual networking.

This is an all ages event (however, all content is unrated). 18+ guests are welcome to BYO drinks. Bring your rugs, beanbags, fold up chairs… or just sit on the lawn. The only thing we ask, is that you’re respectful to the venue and treat each other with kindness.

BBFF will take place in the Pullenvale Road area, however, since this is a private residence, the exact address will only be released to ticket holders closer to the event. Bus routes and Uber/Taxis are available out to Pullenvale Rd. If you are going to drive we suggest you carpool with friends – this helps with parking space and the environment.

So come on over! Bring your family, bring your friends, bring your insect repellent and chill out on the lawn and enjoy some local cinema with a cold beer.
