The Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival is a prestigious film festival in Australia showcasing the creative and cultural breadth of cinematic works from the vast Asia Pacific region. The Festival program celebrates cinematic excellence and champions distinctive voices; it is also the programming team’s mission to honour films that reflect the best of their cultural origins.

In its third year, the BAPFF program consists of more than 80 features films, documentaries, shorts and cinema classics. Take a look at our incredible program, sure to enchant, electrify and amaze. Among the line-up, celebrated Iranian director Asghar Farhadi’s new taught drama The Salesman, a documentary about the world’s best restaurant Ants on a Shrimp, an eight-hour Filipino epic A Lullaby to the Sorrowful Mystery and the Australian premiere of low-budget Aussie serial-killer thriller Hounds of Loveslated to be the next Wolf Creek. Indian drama Parched will open the festival with an inspiring tale of female empowerment, it has won 18 international awards and toured 24 film festivals.
