Biomorphic Pattern Drawing Workshop
Learn how to implement traditional craftsmanship principles to help execute beautiful harmonious biomorphic patterns.
What is biomorphic art?
Derived from the greek word ‘bios’ meaning life and ‘morphe’ meaning form, biomorphic art portrays organic forms found in nature, from plants to the human form to create aesthetic harmony.
In this workshop, you will experiment with common universal biomorphic forms that unify all cultures through the practice of artistic decoration.
No artistic skills are required because art making is for everyone.
The class focus will be pattern analysis from Malaysia. The class will run for two and a half hours.
What to bring :
Compass (recommended compass is either Helix or Stadler)
A3 Visual Diary (with a wash symbol)
Tracing paper
HB & 2B Pencil
Eraser
Coloured Pencils/ Watercolour/Pens – *optional
All other materials will be provided. Manuals and class notes will be sent to you as a PDF for home practice.
