One of the most hotly anticipated street parties on Brisbane’s calendar, Big Gay Day, is returning to The Wickham in 2024, and it’ll be as fierce and fabulous as ever. This year, Big Gay Day will be held on Sunday May 5, with a stacked line-up that’s going make your Labor Day long weekend a whole lotta fun. The 24th instalment of Big Gay Day will yet again slay us with superstars – the sportiest of Spice Girls Melanie C will headline with a DJ set, alongside Sneak Sound System, Tall Paul, Hannah Conda, Jarred Baker, Mega Drag, the Briefs Factory crew and more.

Closing down the inner-city street outside The Wickham, the spectacular Big Gay Day street party is all about being loud, proud, and having a lot of fun to raise money for important LGBTQIA+ charities, continuing the legacy of The Wickham Hotel’s support of the LGBTQIA+ community.
