The Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts is hosting a theatre performance that is one parts call-back radio and other parts relationship counselling. Barbara and Barry are two self-appointed ‘love experts’ who love nothing more than to share their pearls of wisdom with anyone who asks. The advice on offer is questionable at best, but immensely entertaining. Mixed in with their lessons on love are the songs of a bygone generation by iconic artists such as Eartha Kitt, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald.

If you’ve got a song you’d love to hear or you have a question for the relationship referees, you can ask them over their request line. If you are after some great banter, amazing musicianship and some hilarious advice (good and bad), then you must go and see Barbara and Barry in action.

Melissa Western and Tnee Dyer are the masterminds behind this production. They have performed at major festivals all over the world and have enjoyed considerable success throughout their arts careers. These are performers at the top of their game ­– don’t miss out.
