Mandolin superstar Avi Avital and the award-winning Giocoso Quartet present a fascinating, eclectic program of music for the heart and mind. A ground-breaking virtuoso of the mandolin, Avital moves easily between foot-stomping folk dances and baroque concertos with an all-embracing stage presence. As winners of the Musica Viva and Audience prizes at the 2015 Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, the Giocoso Quartet has built a reputation throughout Europe and Asia for their zesty, characterful playing.
