Australia’s Biggest BYO Morning Tea
The Australian Cancer Council is encouraging all of Queensland to take part in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to help raise funds for those affected by cancer. Since 1994, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea has raised $121 million for cancer research, treatment and support services. Thousands are getting involved throughout May by hosting a morning tea in their backyard or at their local park, but the Cancer Council will also be hosting its own morning tea to kick off the fundraising month at New Farm Park on Sunday May 3. Teaming up with Instagramers, bloggers and radio stars for a huge day of picnicking, the Cancer Council is hoping to raise awareness for the month by spreading the good word online. If you don’t have the space for your own morning tea, grab a group of friends and a fully stocked picnic hamper and head to New Farm Park from 10:30 am. Prizes will be awarded to the biggest group and best set-up so feel free to go nuts for a good cause.
