Fewer words in the English vernacular give as good a feeling as ‘long weekend’, expect for maybe ‘Australia Day long weekend’. Celebrating the best bits of our sunburnt country, Australia Day is a great excuse to blow off some steam and enjoy the finer things in life. South Bank is looking to be one of the best spots to do just that with their Long Weekender celebration, taking place from Friday January 23 to Monday 26.

Over the four days, South Bank will be hosting a great range of family friendly activities including live music, interactive art shows, children’s performances, and a huge fireworks display. Catch the musical stylings of Busby Marou, Kingfisha and Bec Laughton, artwork from Maria Clearly, kids entertainment from Toasted TV and Totally Wild, goods from the Collective Markets and the Australia Day Family Film Festival.
