Asleep At The Reel & Blackboard Session at Folk Redlands

Asleep At The Reel & Blackboard Session at Folk Redlands

Head down to Folk Redlands for a free concert featuring Asleep at The Reel and a Blackboard Session.

Feature act, Asleep At The Reel, perform Celtic music with Australian heart. Evocative of a lively Irish pub, their storytelling songs feature flying fiddles, rich harmonies, rollicking jigs and reels to keep your feet tapping. The Irish call it the craic, meaning music and fun and, typically, quite a lot of the demon drink all bound up together.

A wonderful band of Australian musicians with Celtic music in their DNA – with Mark Cryle on guitar and vocals, Rose Broe on accordion and vocals, Mick Nolan on bass and vocals, Hugh Curtis on fiddle and mandolin, and Suzanne Hibbs with drums and percussion.

The afternoon will commence with two hour Blackboard Session. Walk-in Performers are invited to perform 15-20 minute spots on a first-in basis.
