Artist Markets: The Third Quarter Courtyard Bazaar (4th Edition)

Brisbane’s socially-conscious contemporary Art Gallery, The Third Quarter, is holding the fourth edition of their popular ‘Courtyard Bazaar.’ Run as a market-style event which features local artists, designers and makers, the Courtyard Bazaar also features a revolving setlist of DJs alongside a free wine tasting hosted by Cork & Co.

The fourth edition will feature stalls by SWOP Clothing Exchange, The Stone Willow Studio, Kimberley Schieren, Five Mile Radius, Jeremy Plint and Gloria Dulcie, as well as key makers from The Third Quarter’s own curated store, including Bianca Maverick, Kaomoji Ceramics & HOMEJOB Conscious Apparel. Open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday December 8, come and enjoy sets by Critter Cartel (Stanley Kaluwin & Bianca Annamie), A Love Supreme (Ben Chiu) and Isaac Ismail as you browse the stalls of local makers or visit the exhibitions inside the gallery. Shop local for your Christmas presents this year as you sip on a range of minimum intervention wines from 2:00–4:00 pm.

The Third Quarter is a Brisbane-based contemporary art gallery, boutique bar, events and retail space in Petrie Terrace; a bold model that is the first of its kind in Australia.

Through our revolving exhibition program, we promote the work of emerging artists and artists from the margins alongside established and professional practitioners; crafting a new, critical dialogue from within the institution of art.

In short, The Third Quarter exists to connect artists to artists and artists to community. We’re what art looks like with a conscience.
