Art with Altitude Exhibition

Art with Altitude Exhibition

Head for the hills in the heat of November, and enjoy fine art and fresh mountain air at the inaugural Art with Altitude exhibition. Held from Saturday November 21 to Sunday November 22 at Mount Glorious Community Hall, just a few minutes’ drive from Samford and Ferny Grove (north-west Brisbane), the exhibition features many well-known artists from the creative communities of Mount Glorious and Mount Nebo. Art with Altitude is open from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm daily.

All artworks will be for sale, and encompass a variety of media, including oil, watercolour and acrylic paintings, sculpture, jewellery, ceramics, glass-work, pen and ink drawings, photography, fine furniture and fibre-art. Art with Altitude will showcase works by internationally renowned sculptor Graham Radcliffe, and highly regarded local artists Ann and Gerry O’Connor, Pat Boddington, and many others.

With all art for sale at a range of price points, and with live art and craft demonstrations, a lucky door-prize of artwork, raffle prizes of luxury weekend retreats and entertainment vouchers, market stalls, and food and coffee vendors, there is something here for everyone, for just the cost of a gold coin entry donation.

Indulge in a lunch at one of the friendly local cafes and restaurants, take a stroll in the beautiful rainforest at Maiala, and spot the local wildlife, including pademelons, colourful parrots and bowerbirds – the area has so much to offer. Art with Altitude promises to be a great day out for all the family. For further information see online.

Art with Altitude is proudly sponsored by Bendigo Community Bank, and looks set to be a regular event on the arts calendar
