Art Draws Us Together Installation

Art Draws Us Together Installation

You are invited to join in this neighbourhood celebration during Harmony Week and help create a temporary chalk art installation to celebrate harmonious neighbourhoods.

Artist, Nina Maika will be drawing with chalk and wants you to join her to create a temporary art installation on the windows of the Gallery.

Express your connection to your people and your place. Find out how we connect with our neighbour and be inspired by the exhibition Know your neighbour.

Drop by to chill out, listen to tunes and have something to eat in our creative safe space where all people connect with each other, create together and make culture together.

Nina Maika (Te Arawa)
Nina Maika is a contemporary and traditional NZ Maori/Pacific artist based in the Moreton Bay Region.

Nina is a culturally creative community arts activator, using modern tools and methods intrenched in Maori and Pacific traditional cultures. A potent mixture of engaging cultural identity practices in an Australian landscape.

The beauty in Nina’s art work is the way all people are able to connect and identify to her NZ Maori culture and her arts practise. Nina creates art spaces where all people are always welcome.
