A Very Laneway Christmas
If the thought of Christmas crowds and attempting to find the perfect gift for the people in your life has you breaking out in a cold sweat, you’re invited to do things a little differently this year. Instead of running from shop to shop with your very specific list in hand, forget the list entirely and be inspired as you wander from stall to stall and maybe even stop for a little bite to eat at A Very Laneway Christmas. The micro-market will take over Winn Lane and Bakery Lane in Fortitude Valley and feature five rotating independent young and emerging designer pop-ups including ILMA by Sundholm Style, Nikke Horrigan, The Great Beyond, Felicity Cooney and Aster and Lilou alongside special Christmas sales at selected retailers, live music every Saturday and Christmas decorations to really get you in the festive mood.
A Very Laneway Christmas is your one-stop-spot for unique pieces made with love so you can forget the socks and jocks this year and find something they might actually like. When you shop local, everyone wins.
A Very Laneway Christmas kicks off on November 15 and runs right up until December 23 (for those last-minute gifts). So whether you just hate crowds or love supporting local makers and do-ers, discover the cool and relaxed vibe of these hidden markets. The event is pet friendly and there is free live music every Saturday from 12:00–2:00 pm as well as food from a bunch of the nearby venues.
