A Tribute to ANZAC

A Tribute to ANZAC

The Redland City Bands has a long and proud tradition of supporting the Redland Community. Like most Redlanders we wish to contribute towards the recognition of the sacrifices made by individuals during the forging of the ANZAC tradition and the proud bearers of that tradition ever since, many of whom have been Redlanders.

As a consequence, the Redland City Bands is holding an ANZAC Tribute Concert. This will be a major entertainment event featuring the Redland City Concert Band and involving local entertainers and community groups including: the Birralee Anzac Commemoration Choir, the Allenby Dance Studio Tap Dancers and the Redlands Ladies Drum Corps. There will also be a re-enactment display from Redlands RSL and a foyer display from Redlands Museum to complete your afternoon of entertainment.

The event will also allow us to farewell, in concert, our long standing conductor, Mr John Allen who has contributed 14 years as conductor of our Concert Band and sixty years as a player and conductor contributing to the Australian band music scene.

The concert will be an afternoon of great variety entertainment and at the same time honour our ANZACs and give John a rousing farewell. We hope you will be able to join us.
