A Thousand Fibres

Pull up a cushion, pour a cuppa, and learn a new skill in the lush setting of the Talking Circle as the featured artist demonstrates a technique that is fundamental to their practice. Create a range of handmade arts and crafts under the direction of talented Indigenous arts-workers. This workshop is part of the A Thousand Words exhibition, showcasing portraits by artists Cheryl Creed and Nickeema Williams as they capture Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identities in fleeting moments in time.

In addition to A Thousand Fibres, you can also join members of the kuril dhagun team for an intimate guided tour of the A Thousand Words exhibition, as well as the many spaces that make up kuril dhagun on level 1 of State Library. 2pm – 3pm, every Tuesday from 9 Dec (no tours 23 Dec – 6 Jan).
