A Convict’s Hope
Museum of Brisbane has partnered with immersive theatre company Folly Games to create an exciting new production that brings 19th century convict history to life using 21st century technology, and where the stage is the Museum itself.
A Convict’s Hope, invites you, your friends and family to solve puzzles, complete mighty tasks and work together in a gamified theatrical experience exploring the Museum’s current exhibition Life in Irons: Brisbane’s Convict Stories.
In A Convict’s Hope you will encounter an eccentric collector of stories who needs help to reconnect the story of Brisbane’s convict past. As you interact with the characters and objects in the performance your choices affect the narrative and trigger effects in the environment. This is a game, a puzzle room and an immersive theatre performance that uses technology and dramatic storytelling to create an engaging playful experience.
Full experience suitable for ages 8+, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $30pp per session, available on the museum website.
