2022 Eat Local Week

From Saturday June 25 to Sunday July 3, the Scenic Rim’s restaurants, farms, breweries and food businesses will unite to host 125 events across 42 locations for the 11th annual Eat Local Week. Just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Gold Coast, this celebration of regional culinary endeavour is loaded with events for the entire family.

There is a wide variety of free and low-cost activities for children and adults alike, including farm tours and cooking classes to exclusive dining experiences hosted by some of Queensland’s finest chefs. Program highlights include bush tucker cooking workshops, cocktails with camels, long lunches, paddock feasts and banter-filled brunches. The cornerstone event of the entire week is non-other than the Winter Harvest Festival on July 2. This delicious affair will feature producers, suppliers, retailers and chefs from across the Scenic Rim, and allows attendees to taste, sample and sip their way around the region. While you’re helping yourself to tasting plates, wines and fresh produce, make sure you don’t miss the Tractor Pulling Competition, which pits teams against a 12-tonne tractor.

If the thought of this festival is tickling your taste buds, be sure to head to the  Eat Local Week website. Here you can peruse the entire program and nab tickets to any events that take your fancy. See you there!
