2018 Festival of Chariots


Brisbane city will come alive on Saturday 28 April to celebrate the joys and festivities of Eastern culture. Bring the family along to experience the diversity and excitement of Brisbane’s thriving multicultural community.

The Festival of Chariots will involve lots of wonderful free activities for the family:

– pulling a large beautifully decorated wooden chariot through the streets of Brisbane

– arts and food stalls

– live entertainment

– music and dancing

– face painting for the kids

– gorgeous food and drinks

– ‘free’ lunch for everyone

Come and take part in the excitement and festivities. The wooden chariot will depart King George Square at 11.30am, travel through the streets of Brisbane city and return to the Square at 12.30pm – where celebrations and activities will continue for the rest of the afternoon until 4pm.
