Celebrate cultural diversity at the Zillmere Festival

Embrace the vibrancy and colour that defines Zillmere – one of Brisbane’s most diverse, harmonious and creative communities.

Join in the fun of ‘One Place Many Cultures’ Zillmere Festival – a week-long celebration of cultural activities during Queensland Multicultural Week. The diverse program is jam packed with free events and activities to suit all ages and interests, including the ZEST! Festival Market Day on 29 August, which will feature colourful street stalls, delicious multicultural food, crafts, workshops, children’s activities and cultural performance on the main stage. On 30 August, music lovers are invited to enjoy Outback to Opera, which promises to deliver a unique showcase of vocal talent. The festival will culminate on 5 September with Taste of Cultures – Community Lunch, where diversity will be celebrated through the sampling of cuisine from Australia, Bhutan, Burma, Egypt, Italy, Kenya, Samoa and more.

Zillmere Festival is proudly hosted by Jabiru Community Youth and Children’s Services, with support from MDA, Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government as part of Queensland Multicultural Week 2015. Head on over to the Zillmere Festival 2015 Facebook page for further details and updates.
